Our Story

Built by a lawyer who lived the busywork.

CaseSignal exists because running a law firm shouldn't mean spending your evenings retyping case updates.

CaseSignal was founded by Holland Perdue, who trained as a lawyer in Virginia and went on to run a successful law firm in Rocky Mount, a small town in the Blue Ridge foothills.

Running that firm taught him something no law school course covers: the practice of law comes wrapped in an enormous amount of manual work. Every hearing scheduled, every motion filed, every letter that arrived meant the same ritual: key the details into the case management system, then write the client an update about what it all means. Multiply that by every open matter, and entire evenings disappeared into data entry and “just checking in” phone calls.

The clients weren't wrong to call. They were anxious, and silence is terrifying when your case is your life. But answering the same question dozens of times a week isn't lawyering. It's the tax on lawyering.

Then the tools finally caught up. By connecting a firm's email to web-based case management platforms like Clio, SmartAdvocate, PracticePanther, and Filevine, and pairing them with state-of-the-art legal AI from Claude, Holland found that the whole ritual could collapse into seconds. The moment something happens in a case, a clear, personal, client-ready update drafts itself. A lawyer reads it, adjusts a line if needed, and hits send.

That's CaseSignal: not a chatbot talking to your clients, but a drafting engine with a lawyer's hand on every send. These days, Holland's work isn't in the courtroom; it's building tools for the profession he came from.

If this sounds like your desk, this was built for you.

  • •  You've retyped the same hearing details three times before lunch.
  • •  Your voicemail is full of “any news on my case?”
  • •  Updates you meant to send Tuesday go out Friday — or not at all.
  • •  You love the work. It's the paperwork around the work that's grinding you down.

CaseSignal connects natively with Clio today (more practice management integrations are on the roadmap) and works for any firm through simple PDF upload. Your clients feel informed, your matters stay organized, and you get your evenings back.
